“Awesome Value for budget conscious”
Reviewed 2 July 2010
If you are travelling and you need somewhere cheap and safe this is the place to come too. It's on the main highway situated next to a Post Office, come fuel and grocery supplies shop. I shopped all over the web for the cheapest place from Sunshine Coast to Grafton and this by far was the best value. Super, super clean, super, super safe and WOW!! really friendly people. This little quaint caravan park has a place to pitch a tent, put your car, and also offers two styles of budget cabins. It has a laundry, super clean toilet and shower area, & plenty of super clean barbeque areas. Great fishing spot down the road as well. The owners/managers are excellent. Although it doesn't have the bells and whistles of a 4-5 star place, it certain makes up for it in every other area. It also has a pool AND allows pets too. Stayed June 2010, travelled with family.

Manager's name is Bart and Tina. This is a small park with a few permanents, however for medical reasons I have had to stay here for 6 months and find there is not one permanent in the park that I would not want to call a friend. The general atmosphere is very pleasant and it's no problem for either Bart or Tina to assist with any problems you have. The fee is $19.50 a night for a powered site, but they have a stay 7 pay 6 deal, which makes it possibly the cheapest park on the N coast of NSW. Its location is 10 mins to Evans Head, 20 mins to Ballina and 30 mins to Lismore or Casino and 40 mins to Byron Bay. I will definitely stay here again when in this area. Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff offered tourist advice, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money ($19.50 2A per night, powered, any time of the year). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, concrete annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, late checkout allowed, disabled facilities, car wash, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Peaceful, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Likes: Its location, which is makes it central to almost everything on the N coast.
Added Touches: Occasional barbeque on a Sunday, not every week though

Dear Sir,
I thought that this information that I am sending you will be of interest to some of our CMCA Club members that may be travelling this time of year.
We have recently come across a lovely caravan park and stayed there on our way home.
This is a lovely little caravan park owned and run by Bart and Tina Mckew at Broadwater are also CMCA members.
These folk were very friendly and made us feel welcome to their park. It is extremely well kept and the amenities were very good and exceptionally clean, far better than some big name parks that we have recently stayed in.
It is also pet friendly. That must be a bonus these days, best of all the cost was only $19.50 powered site.
I do hope you pass this information to our readers.
Many thanks
Sincerely
Dr Billie Tadros
